Once a month, Grouchy John's Coffee Shop has an evening filled with painting and caffeinated beverages... Caffeine and Canvas. For a flat rat of just over $30 with tax, participants are given everything they need to create their own work of art: the canvas, paint, brushes, templates, and step-by-step instruction from Tommy Vinci. Participants also receive a beverage and pastry of their choice. I have never participated in any of the wine and painting classes that seem to be all the rage in Vegas these days, so I can't compare Caffeine and Canvas to them. I can say that every time I have gone, my artwork turned out far better than I expected, thanks to the helpful guidance of Tommy. And I struggle to draw a stick figure, so the fact that I am happy with my painting after 2 hours is saying a LOT. I also have an absolute blast every time I go... The Grouchy John's staff are always fabulous, Tommy is both hilarious and helpful and the other participants are friendly and fun. Caffeine and Canvas is a super fun way to spend a couple hours getting your creative juices flowing. I highly recommend it!
